What this project involved
This Kuala Lumpur home combined rooftop solar with an EV charger on the same electrical story. Panels sit across more than one roof level — typical of dense KL housing — with white conduit tying arrays back to a wall-mounted Huawei inverter. Below the inverter, a BMW Wallbox and dedicated isolation sit beside distribution and protection boards.
The finished wall shows what owners usually care about most after commissioning: tidy trunking, closed DBs, a clear charging station, and gear that looks intentional rather than improvised beside the garage or utility door.
Solar first, EV on the same board plan
We list this under Solar because the PV array and inverter are the primary generation works. The EV wallbox is part of the same residential electrical package — load, protection and containment planned together so solar export, house loads and charging do not fight each other. Details of each stream live on our solar installation and EV charging pages, and in the project insight.
