Electrical drawings, SLD and as-built records

Approvals, tenders and safe maintenance all depend on drawings that match what is actually installed. We prepare single-line diagrams, DB schedules, layout plans and as-built records that electricians, engineers and authorities can all read.

Deliverables

Drawings we prepare

Design drawings

Lukisan reka bentuk

  • Single-line diagram (SLD) showing incoming supply, main switchboard, sub-boards, protective devices and cable sizes.
  • Lighting and small-power layout plans with circuit references.
  • Cable routing, containment and schedule drawings for trays, trunking and busduct.
  • Load schedule and maximum demand calculation to support supply applications.

Schedules and calculations

Jadual & pengiraan

  • DB schedules listing every breaker rating, RCD, circuit description and cable size.
  • Cable sizing and voltage-drop calculations for long runs and sub-mains.
  • Fault-level and protection coordination notes where upstream devices must discriminate.
  • Earthing and bonding layout for new installations and upgrades.

As-built and handover

As-built & serahan

  • Site walk-down to record what has really been installed, not what was originally planned.
  • Updated SLD and DB schedules after rewiring, tenant fit-out or 3-phase upgrades.
  • Labelled drawing set in PDF and editable format for your records.
  • Where regulations require it, drawings are routed through the appropriate registered engineer for endorsement.

How we work

From survey to handover

STEP 1

Brief and document review

We collect existing drawings, TNB bills, equipment lists and the purpose of the submission.

STEP 2

Site walk-down

We trace the supply, record boards and circuits, and measure what matters for the drawing.

STEP 3

Drafting

SLD, schedules and layouts drawn to a consistent format with clear symbols and labels.

STEP 4

Review and issue

Draft reviewed with you, corrected, then issued for approval, tender or record.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a single-line diagram and why do I need one?
An SLD is a simplified map of your electrical system, from TNB intake to each sub-board and major load. It is needed for supply applications, maintenance, safe isolation and any future upgrade.
Do you draw as-built drawings for existing buildings?
Yes. We walk the site, trace boards and circuits, and produce as-built SLDs and DB schedules even when no original drawings exist.
Will your drawings be accepted by TNB or the local authority?
Our drawings follow standard practice and the format authorities expect. Where a submission must be endorsed by a registered engineer, we coordinate that route and tell you upfront.
Can you update drawings after a 3-phase upgrade?
Yes. After any upgrade or rewiring, we update the SLD and DB schedules so your records match the installation.
How long does it take to prepare drawings?
A home or shop set can take a few working days. Factory sets depend on the number of boards and how much site tracing is needed; we confirm timing after the walk-down.
