Scope of work

What a safe EV charger installation includes

Supply and dedicated circuit

Pasang EV charger

Site survey of your DB, incoming supply, parking bay and cable route, with a load check against your existing maximum demand.
A dedicated circuit from the distribution board to the charger, with correctly sized cable, conduit or trunking and a local isolator.
DB, main breaker or supply upgrade where the existing installation cannot carry a continuous 7 kW load.
Cable routing planned around car-porch, perimeter wall and gate positions so nothing is trailing across the bay.

Protection and earthing

Perlindungan & pembumian

RCD protection suited to EV charging, including DC fault detection where the charger does not provide it built-in.
Earth continuity and earth-loop impedance checks before the charger is energised.
Surge protection recommended for outdoor chargers and long cable runs, especially in lightning-prone areas.
Weatherproof enclosures, glands and mounting for open-air bays exposed to Malaysian rain and heat.

How we work

From survey to handover

STEP 1

Survey and load check

We inspect the DB, measure the cable route and check available capacity against the charger rating.

STEP 2

Quotation and approvals

Written scope covering charger circuit, protection and any DB or supply upgrade. We support TNB or management approvals where needed.

STEP 3

Installation

Dedicated circuit, isolator, RCD and earthing installed to the agreed route, with the charger mounted and commissioned.

STEP 4

Test and handover

Insulation, continuity and RCD tests recorded, a live charging test performed and the circuit labelled in the DB.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need 3-phase supply for a home EV charger?

No. Most homes charge perfectly well on a single-phase 7 kW wallbox. Three-phase is only needed if you want 11 kW or 22 kW AC charging and your car supports it. We check your car and your supply before recommending anything.

Can I just plug the charger into a normal 13A socket?

We do not recommend it for regular charging. An EV draws a continuous high load for hours, which overheats ordinary sockets and cables. A dedicated circuit with the right breaker, RCD and earthing is the safe way.

I live in a condo. Can you install a charger?

Usually yes, subject to your management corporation or JMB approval. We can provide the cable route, load calculation and protection details the committee normally asks for, and install once approval is given.

How long does a home installation take?

Where the DB has spare capacity and the route is short, most home installations finish in one visit once the charger is on site. A DB upgrade, long trench or wall-chasing job takes longer and we will say so in the quotation.

Do you supply the charger?

You can supply your own charger or ask us to advise on specifications. The charger warranty remains with the manufacturer or vendor; our installation and testing work is covered by our own workmanship commitment.

3-phase meter upgrades, new DB and rewiring of the load.

Earth resistance, loop impedance and RCD testing.
