Load profiling and power quality

Does Elektrika carry out the statutory energy audit?

No. Statutory energy audits must be carried out by a registered energy auditor. We partner with that auditor and deliver load profiling, power quality studies, power factor correction and LED retrofit.

How does this relate to EECA 2024?

What is load profiling?

A power analyser records voltage, current, kW, kVA, kVAR, power factor and harmonics over several days. The profile shows when energy is used, when power factor drops, and what size of correction or retrofit is justified.

Can you only do the electrical measures?

Yes. If you already have a registered energy auditor, we can take the load profiling, power quality, power factor correction and LED scope only, with responsibilities agreed in writing.

Will power factor correction cut my bill?

Where your tariff includes a low power factor penalty, correction typically removes that charge and can free transformer and cable capacity. Savings depend on your load; we size the bank from measured data, not a guess.
