Monthly electrical inspection for LV and HV systems

Most electrical failures give warning signs weeks before they happen. Our scheduled monthly inspection service finds loose connections, overloading and ageing equipment early, on both low-voltage and high-voltage installations, and records everything in a written report.

Scope of work

What each monthly visit covers

Low-voltage (LV) inspection

Pemeriksaan voltan rendah

  • Visual and thermal inspection of main switchboard, sub-boards and distribution boards for hot spots and loose terminals.
  • Load readings on incomers and major feeders compared against breaker and cable ratings.
  • RCD operation tests, indicator lamps, meters and protective devices checked.
  • Earth connections, labelling, door seals and ventilation checked, with housekeeping issues flagged.

High-voltage (HV) inspection

Pemeriksaan voltan tinggi

  • Visual inspection of HV switchgear, ring main units, transformers and substation rooms under safe-access procedures.
  • Transformer oil level, temperature, silica gel and bushings checked.
  • Protection relay settings and trip circuit indications reviewed against records.
  • HV work carried out under permit-to-work, with TNB or the HV owner coordinated where required.

Reporting and follow-up

Laporan & tindakan

  • Written report after each visit with photos, readings and a risk-ranked defect list.
  • Recommendations separated into urgent, planned and monitor items.
  • Annual shutdown planning for deeper servicing, testing and cleaning.
  • Records you can show insurers, auditors, landlords or authorities.

How we work

From survey to handover

STEP 1

Baseline survey

We record the existing installation, boards and critical loads, and agree an inspection scope.

STEP 2

Schedule and access plan

Fixed monthly dates, safe-access arrangements and permit-to-work for HV areas.

STEP 3

Inspect and test

Thermal scan, readings, torque checks and operational tests at each visit.

STEP 4

Report and act

Written report issued, with prioritised repairs quoted and scheduled.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why is monthly inspection worth doing?
Loose terminals, overloaded circuits and failing breakers are cheaper to fix before they trip production or start a fire. A monthly record also shows insurers and auditors that you maintain your installation.
Do you inspect high-voltage equipment?
Yes. HV inspection is done under proper safe-access and permit-to-work procedures, using competent persons, and coordinated with TNB or the HV owner where required.
What is thermal scanning?
A thermal camera shows hot spots on terminals, busbars and breakers that are invisible to the eye. Hot spots usually mean a loose or overloaded connection that needs attention.
Is monthly inspection the same as electrical maintenance?
Inspection finds and reports problems; maintenance repairs, cleans and services them. Many clients combine both under one programme, and we can quote each part separately.
Will you repair defects found during inspection?
We report them first. You choose which repairs to approve, and we quote and schedule them. We do not carry out work without your agreement.
